Subject: Another Release?

Folks,
At the last TDT PI meeting, LDC agreed to 3 more releases in 1998:
1) a Maintenance Release including all fixes to Training and Dev/Test
data plus all off-diagonal data
2) the Eval Release to NIST
3) a Pre-Eval release to the sites including all topics and stories
except those in the Eval Set
The first and third were to be similar except that, in between, we would
incorporate corrections derived from adjudicating sites' hit lists, bug
fixes and -- as time permitted -- the results of our internal QC.
To date, we have not received much in the way of hit lists. So I wonder
where would another release fall on the cost-benefit curve. Do any of
you have hit lists to submit? Would you have time to work with -- and
benefit from -- another release of cleaned-up data?
