One of Turkey's most prominent human rights activists is fighting
for his life after being shot by unidentified gunmen. Akim Burdall,
head of Turkey's Human Rights Association was hit with six bullets
in the chest and leg when two young men entered his office Ankara.
Mr. Burdall has been an outspoken critic of Turkey's human rights
record, especially its treatment of Kurds.
