The first game of the national basketball association finals late
Wednesday was taken by the Utah jazz who defeated the reigning champions
Chicago Bulls 88-85. The jazz led for most of the game but narrowly
held on gins a furious closing rush by the Bulls that forced the game
into overtime. In the extra period, jazz guard John Stockton scored
seven of the team high 24 points to turn the win for Utah. Karl Malone
had 21 points for the jazz. Bulls superstar Michael Jordan finished
with a came guy 33 points for Chicago. Jordan and the Bulls are seeking
their sixth NBA tight this will decade. Game two of the best of seven
series is set for Friday night in Utah.
