Summary: According to South Korea's National Security Bureau, two South Korean
POW's, believed to be "dead" in the Korean War, fled North Korea. The
67-year old Kim and the 71-year old Pak returned to South Korea via a third
country - after 45 years' in capture. Prior to their escape, they had been
slave miners.

During their imprionment, the two men became in-laws without their
knowledge. Kim's second son married Pak's fourth daughter in 1991.
