Subject: Sun grants equipment to LDC

TDT Folks,
I am pleased to announce that Sun Microsystems has approved an Academic
Equipment Grant to support LDC's efforts in building TDT corpora. Sun
will grant LDC a new server and a tape robot providing near-line
storage. The new equipment will be a big help to both our annotation
staff and to our technical staff and will make it easier to continue
collecting TDT-4 data while we prepare TDT-3 and publish TDT-2.
