Folks,

We will be shipping copies of the complete TDT2 English Text corpus
on cdrom today. For those of you who participated in last year's
evaluation, this is simply a "convenience copy", providing the
complete set in one package that replaces the various and scattered
releases that were sent out last year.

The cdrom also includes documentation (as a collection of HTML
files), the complete topic relevance table (all six months judged
against all 100 topics, as released on our ftp site last week), and,
for the first time, an alternate set of ASR data derived from the
TDT2 English Audio collection, using the BBN system as installed and
used at NIST (this second set of ASR data actually includes a few
additional files not present in the original Dragon ASR set).

I have tried to assemble the correct set of recipients -- please
review the list below:

If you want to receive the cdrom TOMORROW, and your site is not on
this list, please send email TODAY to <ldc@ldc.upenn.edu> to add your
site to the list (it would be helpful to include postal address and
phone number while you're at it).

Also send email if your site is on the list already, but you would
prefer that the package be sent to a different individual. (Again,
including a postal address and phone number would be helpful.)

(Is there anyone on the list who does NOT want the cdrom?)
