As you know, there is a TDT3 dry run meeting coming up all too soon.
In less than three weeks, on 28-29 June to be exact. To reiterate,
the goals of this meeting are:

· To share technical information, ideas, and insight
· To benchmark interim performance
· To iron out issues with TDT3 tasks, metrics, data, annotation and
the evaluation process and software.
· To decide plans and actions for the second dry run and
the final evaluation

In order to achieve these goals, the tasks must be implemented, the
data must be processed, and the results must be tabulated. And in
order for NIST to respond to the inevitable issues and problems and
desires of the TDT R&D community, we need your input in advance of
the meeting. So please observe the formal deadline for submitting
results, which is 8 am EDT on Tuesday 22 June, almost two weeks away.
And if you can submit results before then, please do so. Especially
if you have questions or if there are uncertainties or if you are
having problems with any aspect of the task, the evaluation plan,
the data, the procedures or the software.

Please don't leave the formal dry run evaluation until the last
moment. Note that the evaluation covers the whole TDT2 Jan-Jun98
epoch and may be computationally demanding. As a reminder, NIST's
home page for TDT3 is http://www.nist.gov/speech/tdt3/tdt3.htm and
