Subject: NEW TDT2 TEXT RELEASE (yes, again)
Date: Fri, 20 Aug 1999 15:03:00 EDT
Folks,
After the cdroms of the revised TDT2 text corpus shipped last night,
I discovered that there were some new problems that had cropped up in
the preparation of the machine-translated files (both reference text
and asr output). The problems affected all files in the following
directories of the data set:
mttkn, mttkn_bnd
mtas0, mtas0_bnd
Some files had more problems than others, but they were easy to fix.
I have prepared yet another set of cdroms, which will ship today, and
you will receive them next week.
When you receive the second shipment, you will notice that the cdrom
has a silver label -- this is to help you in making sure which is the
right cdrom to use. Please discard the first shipment, which is on a
gold-colored cdrom, and keep the silver one for your use.
Remember: gold cdrom = bad
silver cdrom = good
I apologize for the mishap. (Yes, I should have known better.)
