Subject: The TDT3 second dry run and the October TDT workshop

I think we must have finally gotten it right -- since the last
release of the TDT3 evaluation plan (version 2.7) early last
month there have been no comments, corrections or objections!
Now, with little more than a month to go before the second dry run,
I'm beginning to put together the agenda for the meeting at UMass.
What I need to know is:
1) Which of the 5 TDT3 tasks do you ANTICIPATE participating in?
(story segmentation, topic tracking, topic detection,
first story detection, and story link detection)
2) What presentations might you WISH to make? (beyond your
presentations on algorithms and dry run results for the
various task evaluations that you have participated in)
3) What issues NEED to be discussed? (regarding TDT in general,
including corpus, tasks, applications, infrastructure,
etc.)
I need answers to these three questions from all sites that plan
to attend the meeting at UMass. Thanks.
