A draft agenda for the upcoming TDT meeting is attached to this email.
The meeting is scheduled for one day. This meeting is devoted to
wringing out the TDT3 tasks and eval procedures through a second dry run
on the TDT2 corpus. The major part of the meeting is structured around
the five TDT3 tasks. For each of these five tasks, NIST will first
review the task and then present the dry run results. This overview
will then be followed by a discussion of the task. This discussion will
comprise first a formal and then an open discussion. The formal part
will provide an opportunity for sites to present their technical
approaches and analyze their results. If you wish to participate in the
formal part of the discussion, please let me know how much time you will
need. (Note that there is not much time, so your participation will
need to be succinct, as we wish to reserve approximately half of the
discussion time for open discussion.) Please fill in the following
table with your time requirements and return it to me no later than
noon on Wednesday September 29, so that we can properly allocate
discussion time. We will then adjust the meeting schedule and send
you your allocated time for your formal participation.
