I just did a quick scan of as1 files in the latest TDT2 release. It turns out
there are 135 cases of "<W ...>" elements, to be found in 126 different as1
files, where "Dur=0.00" and there is no word token on the line following the
tag. If anyone needs the full listing, let me know, or simply do this in the
as1 directory:
grep 'Dur=0.00' *
I did confirm that there is a complete correlation between the presence of
"Dur=0.00" and the absence of a word token on the line.
It's a shame this was not noticed sooner; the same set of cases, in the same
files, were present with the same symptom in the June 6 release that was
distributed by NIST. When I was preparing the version 3 release, this
particular condition was not among the problems that I was looking for, and I
didn't happen to stumble onto it...
