Subject: Information on the CURRENT TDT2 Text corpus release
Date: Mon, 18 Oct 1999 16:13:47 EDT
Folks,
In order to clear up any confusion and doubts, I have prepared a web page that
describes exactly what constitutes the CURRENT TDT2 text corpus release.
The url is: http://www.ldc.upenn.edu/Projects/TDT2/data-release.html
Note that this is accessible from the LDC's "main TDT2" web page (same url,
minus the final file name). What the page says, in a nutshell, is this:
You DO have the CURRENT TDT2 Text Corpus if EITHER of the following two
conditions is true for you:
Condition 1:
------------
- You have a cdrom from the LDC labeled as follows:
TDT2
Text data and Tables
English and Mandarin
...
Release Date:
September 7, 1999
- AND you have this tar file from the LDC's "members_only" ftp directory:
file name: tdt2-patch-asrdata.tar.Z
file size: 9447007 bytes
Condition 2:
------------
- You have a cdrom from the LDC labeled as follows:
TDT2
Text data and Tables
English and Mandarin
...
Release Date:
October 12, 1999
Most participants should be able to verify that they have the materials that
satisfy "Condition 1".
