Folks,

I've made available a new release of the evaluation suite. The URL is
'ftp://jaguar.ncsl.nist.gov/tdt/tdt2000/TDT3eval_v1.9.tgz'. This
release will not be the final evaluation release, but it has features
that you'll need if you want to generate index files for this year's
tracking or link detection tasks.

Notable changes for the tracking task are: (1) generated index files
include certified off-topic stories, and (2) generated DET curves are
accompanied by a new type of plot, which I call a threshold plot, that
plots Pmiss, Pfa and Topic Weighted Costs as a function of the threshold
scores.

The notable changes for the link detection index files iw the inclusion
of multilingual link pairs. Threshold plots are also produced by the
"DetectionScore.pl" program.
