TDT 2000 folk,

According to Jon's schedule, you should be sending me a message by
tomorrow (the 18th) if you are interested in talking at the November
meeting in Gaithersburg. Given my own schedule, I will not be able to
do anything meaningful with those messages until, probably, Monday, so
I see no point in forcing you to get them to me by Thursday.

Please send me a paragraph or three indicating what you would like to
talk about at the meeting by noon (eastern time) on Monday the 23rd.
If you have done anything new or interesting, please focus on that.
Unfortunately, because of the apparent confusion in the preliminary
evaluation, it's difficult to be *certain* that your approach was
effective, so you'll have to focus more on whether it was
interesting, or was effective on the training data. (It has been
hypothesized that correcting the scoring will change scores, but not
affect "rankings", so perhaps you can pretend the results aren't too
bad.)

If you have any questions, please drop me a note.
