Okay. Given Stephanie's reminder of how stories are being annotated,
I guess that the corrected answer to Jon's question is "sort of".
For the TDT-4 evaluation corpus, there will not be any BRIEF stories,
so they cannot be used as tracking training stories. That does mean,
though, that training stories *might* include some stories that would
have previously been classified as BRIEF.
That suggests it'd be nice to have some sample training index files
that included similar topics. Do we think that most stories in TDT-2
and TDT-3 that are classified as BRIEF would be NOs under the new
annotation rules?
